Bathroom plumbing
Bathroom plumbing includes such features as showers, bathtubs,
toilets, and sinks. Today, the majority of these fixtures are created
from plastics. Popular examples of modern materials include gel-coated
fiberglass and acrylic plastic.
Up until recently, bathroom plumbing fixtures were more popularly created
from enameled cast iron or steel. The enamel may be applied dry or wet.
When applied dry, the metal surface which it will be covering is heated
to the point that the enamel melts on contact. The other application
option involves dipping the metal fixture into wet enamel.
Elements of bathroom plumbing may also be created from cultured marble.
This gives a feel of elegance which may be appealing to some. Porcelain
and even wood are other possibilities when it comes to creating bathroom
related fixtures.
