Plumbing parts
Plumbing parts are often made from such materials as plastic
and metal. Copper is a commonly used material due to its safety and
durability. Copper is also fairly price competitive. It may cost a little
more, but generally it increases the value of the home and requires
less future repairs.
Pipes and tubes are important plumbing parts. These are the straight
sections of a plumbing system. They are connected by various fittings
which are just as integral as piping is. Valves are technically fitting
devices but are generally discussed as separate parts in and of themselves.
The plumbing parts which people within a home or business generally
interact with are known as fixtures. Fixtures are designed to deliver
and drain water. Some examples of these include sinks, toilets, bath
tubs and drinking fountains.
